Five to thrive Training for Early Years Practitioners
As part of the North Somerset Early Years and Childcare Strategy 2023-2026 we are committed to embedding the Five to Thrive model of brain development and connected relationships across all of our services and partner organisations. This will enable all health professionals, practitioners and volunteers engaging with North Somerset families to be using a common language when talking about brain development and parents connecting with their babies/children.
In November we are offering an opportunity for Early Years Practitioners to take part in the free Five to Thrive training. We will be running the session across two evening courses, each will be 1 hour 30 minutes long. You must attend both evening sessions to complete the training.
Both sessions should be booked through Eventbrite, using the links below:
Please do not book on if you cannot attend both sessions.
This training will give you the skills to understand the impact you have on the developing brains of the children you care for and how you can develop both responsiveness and confidence. Caregivers who are responsive and confident improve outcomes for children and young people both in the short term and across a lifetime. This training aims to give you the skills and confidence to embed Five to Thrive principles in your daily practice.
