Community Hubs

There are four Community Hubs in Weston-super-Mare. These are multi-purpose spaces for a range of voluntary groups and community activities. Each Community Hub is community-led and is a space for people to come together, socialise, meet new people, stay warm, and enjoy some food and refreshments.

Examples of activities you can join at Community Hubs:

  • coffee mornings
  • craft sessions
  • food pantry
  • health and wellbeing drop-in sessions
  • gardening and outdoor projects

For All Healthy Living Centre

The For All Healthy Living Centre in Weston-super-Mare provides a range of services, facilities and activities for the local community.

Cafe

The cafe is at the heart of the centre, where friendly staff offer a range of drinks, snacks and meals. It is a place to sit, meet friends and catch up with life.

Community allotment

The centre has recently taken on the development of a community allotment just five minutes’ walk away from the centre. The land provides a local space for residents to create an allotment of their own, which will be used to grow fruit and vegetables as well as a place to relax in the fresh air.

Library

Membership of the newly extended community library in the centre is free. Members can:

  • borrow from a diverse range of books, CDs, DVDs and talking books
  • have free use of computers connected to the internet.

Wellness Service

The Wellness Service provides free wellbeing calls to people in need and aims to help improve and sustain physical and mental wellbeing by signposting community resources, groups, activities, clubs and services.

The service is provided by Access Your Care in partnership with North Somerset Council.

Social advice and guidance

Alliance Homes provides a range of free support services to everyone in North Somerset, no matter whether or not you are an Alliance Homes customer.

The support services aim to help everyone live safe, independent and fulfilling lives, and are funded by North Somerset Council. They work in six key areas to provide advice and guidance, using a mixture of practical support and signposting:

  • housing
  • health and welfare
  • finance (benefits, finance, and debt)
  • employment and training
  • unpaid carers support
  • supporting patients in local hospitals
