A new offer of Liver Health support in The Bournville is being launched, created by North Somerset Council’s Public Health team, For All Healthy Living Centre, and generously supported by other local partners.

If you have been diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) you are invited to join our new peer to peer support group.

In this friendly group we will be:

  • Finding out from health professionals more about what the liver does
  • Learning about how this condition impacts our wellbeing and other health conditions we may have
  • Looking at what changes we can make to the foods we usually eat, and how this can help us feel better
  • Deciding on what changes we want to make to lose weight and move more, to look after our health
  • Supporting ourselves and others to live well with this condition

At the support sessions you can:

  • meet others from your neighbourhood who have similar health concerns
  • together plan how we can make changes to get going with healthy habits to look after our health
  • support and encourage each other to make healthy habit changes
  • enjoy a hot drink and healthy snack together (these will be provided)

We will update this webpage when we have more details to share, including specific dates and times of the sessions offered and how you can access the information shared digitally also.
