Creative activities
Taking part in creative activities such as arts, crafts, singing, writing, gardening, DIY or dancing can be a part of your ‘toolkit’ for pain management.
Focusing on these things can often help to move your thoughts away from the pain as well as being a chance to be involved in activities with other people and feel less lonely.
Find out about local groups you could join on the North Somerset Simply Connect website.
Community Hubs
There are four Community Hubs in Weston-super-Mare. These are multi-purpose spaces for a range of voluntary groups and community activities. Each Community Hub is community-led and is a space for people to come together, socialise, meet new people, stay warm, and enjoy some food and refreshments.
Just some of the examples of creative activities you can join at Community Hubs:
- craft sessions
- gardening in the community gardens
- outdoor projects.
