Couch to 5k
Couch to 5K is a running plan for absolute beginners. It was developed by a new runner, Josh Clark, who wanted to help his 50-something mum get off the couch and start running, too.
The plan involves 3 runs a week, with a day of rest in between, and a different schedule for each of the 9 weeks.
Volunteers run Couch to 5K groups throughout the year, everyone is welcome and you’ll get lots of support to succeed. It is all about encouraging anybody who has the desire and enthusiasm to get more active through running.
The next group starts on Monday 6 October at 7pm on Weston-super-Mare seafront. If you’d like to sign up, please contact Kira: kira.thorpe@hotmail.com / 07882 474 692
