Christmas Cracker 2026 Training Programme

If you’d like to start running but would like to do it in a friendly and supportive environment with lots of other people who are also starting out, Weston Athletic Club is about to start the 2026 edition of its beginner running programme. Over the years the club has helped hundreds of local people find the love of running, most of whom were starting from not being able to run at all, or having the confidence to do so.

The sessions will start on Monday 5 October, meeting each Monday evening and Saturday morning leading up to race day in December.

As well as new runners, improvers, returning and current runners of all abilities are welcome.

The cost of the whole programme is £30, payable at the first session, and all the proceeds go to Weston Hospicecare. Sessions are led by the club’s qualified run leaders who all give their time freely to the programme.
